TAHOE KEYS SEASONAL AIS MAINTENANCE
PROGRAM PURPOSE
This program targets the rapid and uncontrolled growth of aquatic invasive species (AIS) within the Tahoe Keys. It is offered as a seasonal aquatic vegetation maintenance program for Tahoe Keys homeowners and operates under the same rules and permissions already applicable to homeowners. No additional permits or authorizations are required.
The goal of the program is consistent, visible control of aquatic vegetation in private dock and shallow shoreline areas throughout the service season.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The service operates as a structured seasonal maintenance program rather than a one-time cleanup. Enrollment timing and property size determine the total number of visits included for the season.
Properties enrolled earlier in the season receive more visits focused on preventative maintenance. Properties enrolled later in the season receive fewer visits, with the initial visit typically involving heavier biomass removal. Visit timing may vary, but the total number of visits included is fixed at enrollment.
SERVICE PROCESS & ENROLLMENT
Once enrolled, your property is scheduled for seasonal aquatic vegetation maintenance based on enrollment timing and property size. Visits are routed by location and growth conditions and occur within defined service windows.
On each visit, our crew arrives by boat and removes aquatic vegetation from around and beneath docks, along dock lines, and within shallow shoreline areas where harvesting equipment cannot effectively reach. All work is performed from above water.
Regular visits throughout the season reduce overall biomass, limit regrowth, and allow for cleaner, more efficient maintenance over time.
Enrollment is simple: select your property size, enroll, and we will schedule your property accordingly.
PROPERTY SIZE & DOCK FRONTAGE
SMALL — LIMITED FRONTAGE
This option applies to properties with a compact dock layout and limited linear frontage along the canal. Typical examples include single-slip docks or smaller dock footprints with minimal shoreline interface.
Properties in this category have a shorter service area due to dock size and frontage length. Pricing and visit availability are determined by enrollment timing and the physical scope of the dock and canal frontage.
Service start month refers to the month in which service begins. Enrollment and payment shall typically be completed prior to the start of the selected service month; enrollments received after a month has begun may be accommodated based on availability or scheduled for the next available service start period.
